Upgrade and repair
Often it’s about getting a beloved workhorse back into top playing condition or refining it with an upgrade. Even most brand new instruments could use a good setup before they will play at their best, and I can help with that. For guitars and basses: I do setups, replacement bone nuts and saddles, bridge and saddle upgrades, fretwork, crack repair, electronic repair, pickup winding, neck resets, and more. For the drummers out there, I do hardware upgrades, cut down drums, true up shells, cut bearing edges, repair cracked shells, and fix damaged bearing edges. Maybe you just want a great new guitar, right now, without all the waiting for it to be built, or the option paralysis of designing every excruciating detail. In that case check out my Reverb shop where you can find new guitars ready made, extra parts, and, sometimes, orphans. What is an orphan? It’s an existing guitar that has been given the works to make it play its best or refine some particular aspect. If you’ve ever seen the movie Be Kind Rewind, It’s a guitar that has been sweded.
